Rascal's unique methodological approach modifies any compiled software's executable code, performing reverse engineering and complex algorithms to separate the software’s executable code into parts that are encrypted and those that are not.

At runtime, both encrypted and non-encrypted code segments are executed. The software product on the end user computer can only function in collaboration with the secured encrypted portion of the code that is executed in a secured location on the hardware.
